Thank you!! The support means a lot!
Thank you! Here are some tips:
- don’t be afraid to go to the “big boys” area and lift some free weights. They won’t judge you, I promise (otherwise they’re a douchebag). Learn the exercises and the correct form from bodybuilding.com. Keep learning.
- Start with 10-12 reps of 3 sets. Rules of thumb: if you are not struggling by the third to last rep, the weights are too light for you. (ex: if you’re doing 10 reps, you should be struggling by the 8th rep).
- Treat abs like every other muscle. People mistakenly give abdominal muscles a special treatment - many many reps with no weights. The same rule applies when it comes to building Ab muscles - put some weights on it! 15 reps should be the max. If you can do more than that, it’s time for weighted ab exercises.
- Know that this takes a long time. Know that this won’t be easy. Know that you will feel like giving up sometimes - don’t. Keep going. Consistency is key. Good luck!

Muscle is created by repeatedly lifting things that have been designed to weigh us down. So when your shoulders feel heavy, stand up straight and lift your chin – call it exercise. When the world crumbles around you, you have to look at the wreckage and then build a new one out of all the pieces that are still here. Remember, you are still here.
The human heart beats approximately four thousand times per hour. Each pulse, each throb, each palpitation is a trophy engraved with the words ‘You are still alive.’
You are still alive.
Act like it."
